why cpo prices will rise in the near term ?
1. hot weather dry spell leading to drought - a major river basin - sg Pahang drying up — this will cause lower yields for the coming months as water table is lowered and rain is scarce with hotter weather . .. impact supply side of cpo .. reduced supply means cpo price will rise .
2. Gov lifting up fuel subsidies ( 50% ? ) in the coming months, prices at the pump station will costs much much more for . this will increase the costs of production of cpo , logistic costs and shipping costs… this costs will be passed onto buyers in the market … hence another foreseeable rise in cpo prices .
