  • BelleWeather : Ok, well, Reddit has improved my investing more than anything else. My time spent on the platform (an awful lot of it,) that is. But as a company, it’s never been profitable, has no discernible path to profitability, and advertising is extremely weak. It also alienates the user base and monetization efforts are expected to do so even more. Apex is ridiculously overpaid and the mods who keep the whole thing running and the users who provide the content aren’t compensated at all. Lastly, it anonymous - and that privacy is very important to many users, who protect their identities all sorts of ways, so data is harder to scrape.

    And crypto is very lucrative! Harsh crowd.
