        • JonSnow : I don't say short anything, I said go long short duration bonds

        • BuffetJr : shorting is no different then going long just reversed. You obviously can't be long and short at the same time, that would be pointless, put in a sell order to short and when you want to close your position you buy the shares. so sell to open and buy to close. Most brokerage accts require about $2000 min acct balance to be able to short also
