What do you think of Chevron’s (CVX) acquisition of Hess (HES)?

I have some $Chevron(CVX.US)$ shares in my portfolio, and I think that this is an interesting move from the company. I understand why the value of the stock has dropped the past few days because of cash threats, debt, share dilution, and so on from the acquisition. In the press release, they list off solid reasons of this acquisition alongside with a future dividend increase and more share repurchases. I want to hear others' opinions on if the acquisition is a good move in the long run or if it was a bad move. $Hess Corp(HES.US)$
