US Initial Jobless Claims Hit Largest Two-Week Drop Since September

For the week ending May 18, initial jobless claims fell to 215,000, slightly below the market forecast of 220,000. For the week ending May 11, continuing jobless claims were almost unchanged at 1.794 million.
