U.S. stocks lower at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.45%

At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.45%, while the S&P 500 index lost 0.42%, and the NASDAQ Composite index lost 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the Dow Jones Industrial Average were Amgen Inc ( $Amgen(AMGN.US)$ ), which rose 3.11% or 7.86 points to trade at 260.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Walt Disney Company ( $Disney(DIS.US)$ ) added 1.51% or 1.31 points to end at 88.14 and Apple Inc ( $Apple(AAPL.US)$ ) was up 0.53% or 0.95 points to 179.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Salesforce Inc ( $Salesforce(CRM.US)$ ), which fell 2.08% or 4.49 points to trade at 211.57 at the close. Goldman Sachs Group Inc ( $Goldman Sachs(GS.US)$ ) declined 2.05% or 7.30 points to end at 348.26 and The Travelers Companies Inc ( $The Travelers Companies(TRV.US)$ ) was down 1.32% or 2.25 points to 167.87.
The top performers on the S&P 500 were Eli Lilly and Company ( $Eli Lilly and Co(LLY.US)$ ) which rose 14.83% to 521.44, DISH Network Corporation ( $Dish Network(DISH.US)$ ) which was up 9.56% to settle at 8.37 and Organon & Co ( $Organon & Co(OGN.US)$ ) which gained 8.99% to close at 23.76.
The worst performers were International Flavors & Fragrances Inc ( $International Flavors & Fragrances(IFF.US)$ ) which was down 19.38% to 64.77 in late trade, Sealed Air Corporation ( $Sealed Air(SEE.US)$ ) which lost 9.53% to settle at 39.88 and DexCom Inc ( $DexCom(DXCM.US)$ ) which was down 8.91% to 110.19 at the close.
The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Bruush Oral Care Inc Unit ( $Bruush Oral Care(BRSH.US)$ ) which rose 139.13% to 7.70, Vivos Therapeutics Inc ( $Vivos Therapeutics(VVOS.US)$ ) which was up 53.22% to settle at 0.40 and Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc ( $Infinity Pharmaceuticals(INFI.US)$ ) which gained 45.88% to close at 0.13.
The worst performers were Proterra Inc ( $Proterra(PTRA.US)$ ) which was down 88.31% to 0.17 in late trade, Genesis Unicorn Capital Corp ( $ESGL HOLDINGS LTD(ESGL.US)$ ) which lost 48.02% to settle at 4.00 and VistaGen Therapeutics Inc ( $VistaGen Therapeutics(VTGN.US)$ ) which was down 43.14% to 7.42 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the New York Stock Exchange by 1835 to 1101 and 76 ended unchanged; on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, 2072 fell and 1391 advanced, while 154 ended unchanged.
