Two Lanes or Four?

A man once prayed to God that he grant him one wish.  To his surprise, God answered and he heard his voice say "You have been a faithful man, what may I grant you?"  The man said, "I would like a bridge from my house to Hawaii so I can drive there anytime I want."  God thought a moment and said, "Your wish is very materialistic and requires massive support beams all the way to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, which I can do, but is difficult. How about something that would be more honorable."  The man thought again, "Lord, then my wish is for you to grant me wisdom in the stock market.  To know exactly which stocks to pick and when and when exactly to buy, sell and hold so my family and future generations may prosper."  God replied, "You want two lanes on that bridge or four?"
It sometimes seems like divine intervention is needed in this racket we call the stock market to get things right more often than not. At the least, our patience is tirelessly tested and we struggle to know exactly what to do all the time.  We will NEVER get it right all the time and having some setbacks must be accepted.
We can though, stick to our rules of engagement, and never chase, only focus on plays we have researched and ignore the noise of all those who want you to do their bidding despite never having met you, nor caring about you.  Maybe God can grant you the bridge, but you have to drive the car over it, and you are still the master of your fate.
