Tuesday Market Falls Slowly, All Eyes on AMD and MSFT | Herd on Wall St.

Good afternoon, traders. Happy Tuesday, the market is open and indexes are mixed. Today is a major earnigns relase day, with $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ and $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ posting results after the bell - check it out on moomoo live.
My name is Kevin Travers; here are stories from the herd on Wall St today.
$CrowdStrike (CRWD.US)$ fell 9%, the lowest on the S&P 500. The stock began moving lower late Monday following reports that $Delta Air Lines (DAL.US)$ and Microsoft were lawyering up and would seek compensation from the cybersecurity company for last week's outage. According to Morgan Stanely Analysts, the firms partners also said monday they expected a 20% drop in bookings in the future.
$Merck & Co (MRK.US)$ shares fell more than 10%, the lowest on the S&P 500 on Tuesday despite beating Wall Street's expectations. The pharmaceutical company cut its 2024 earnings outlook after an impact from its recent acquisition of EyeBio, an ophthalmology-focused biotech.
$Procter & Gamble (PG.US)$ were falling 5% Tuesday after the consumer-products company beat earnings estimates but fell short on sales despite higher prices. $PayPal (PYPL.US)$ shares jumped 7% after the digital-payments company logged higher quarterly profit and revenue and raised its annual earnings guidance.
$Howmet Aerospace (HWM.US)$ shares were up 13%, the highest on the S&P 500 after second-quarter earnings beat analysts' expectations.
In sectors and industries, Household & Personal Products fell 3%, led by a 5% drop in $Procter & Gamble (PG.US)$.
In commodities, $Crude Oil Futures(NOV4) (CLmain.US)$ fell 1.17%. $Bitcoin (BTC.CC)$ fell 1.5% to $66k, Gold and silver both climbed, while the U.S. 2-year fell and the U.S. 10-year fell.

The market traded lopsided Tuesday, and slipped into a decline. Just past 11:30 am ET the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ fell 0.51%, the $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ climbed 0.15%, and the $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ fell 1%.

In macroeconomic news, consumer sentiment numbers from CB came in at 100.3 vs 99.7 expected. Last month, they reported 97.8. JOLT's job opening numbers also came out at 8.184M vs 8.020M expected. Last month, JOLTS reported 8.230M.
This week, all eyes are on the FOMC, due to report its current strategy for competing inflation on Wednesday. The futures market shows investors are pricing in a rate cut in September after the PCE data released Friday showed a slight dip month over month in price inflation.
Investors can watch for PMI data on Thursday and Nonfarm monthly payroll employment data on Friday.
Investors are also watching major earnings this week from four of the final magnificent seven companies- the largest stocks in the world.
Investors are watching for three more Mag 7 earnings with $Meta Platforms (META.US)$ on Wednesday, and $Apple (AAPL.US)$ and $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ on Thursday, alongside a host of other $100B+ market cap giants.
