Local Market
Malaysian $FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index (.KLSE.MY)$ rose for the fourth straight session + 0.48% to 1,587.80, supported by positive inflation data and the central bank’s decision to hold the overnight policy rate at 3%, aligning with market expectations. Malaysia’s December CPI easing to 1.7% annually, down from 1.8% in November. Bank Negara Malaysia noted a favorable global economic outlook, driven by positive labor markets, moderating inflation, and less restrictive monetary policies.
Local currency goes up further to settle at 4.4408 while Malaysia govvy 10 years yield maintained and closed at 3.828% and Palm Oil Futures closed at 4,208.
