$ROLLS ROYCE ADR(RYCEY.US$ shares experienced a significant rebound today, with a 4.76% surge in early trading, following a rating upgrade by Barclays Bank. The bank shifted its stance on the engineering giant from 'equal weight' to 'overweight', sparking a favorable market response.
$Pinterest(PINS.US$ stock soared 16% after the image sharing platform reported third quarter results that topped expectations as efforts to improve monetization of its international users on its platform bolstered performance.
$Arista Networks(ANET.US$ stock gained 10% after the cloud networking solutions developer reported better than expected results in the latest quarter, signaling that demand for cloud and artificial-intelligence offerings remains strong.
Gapping down
$Caterpillar(CAT.US$ Caterpillar's sales and revenue was up across all equipment segments with its construction division recording the highest bump a 12% rise in sales on the back of healthy demand in North America, as the Biden Administration's $1.2 trillion infrastructure law has spurred spending on U.S. roads, railways and bridges. Its profit rose to $2.79 billion, or $5.45 per share, outpacing an analysts' forecast of $4.79.
However, shares for Texas-based manufacturer were down 3.2% before the bell.
$Tesla(TSLA.US$ stock fell 1.5%, continuing Monday's hefty losses after the EV manufacturer’s key supplier Panasonic said it cut automotive battery production in the September quarter, cementing concerns of a global slowdown in electric-vehicle sales.
$JetBlue Airways(JBLU.US$ stock fell 7.1% after the low-cost airline posted a wider-than-expected loss in the third quarter and offered disappointing full-year guidance.
