Morning Movers
Gapping up
$UiPath(PATH.US)$ shares surged more than 14% after-hours today after the AI company reported better-than-expected results for the third quarter. EPS of $0.12 came in better than the consensus estimate of $0.07. Revenue grew 24% year-over-year to $326 million, beating the consensus estimate of $315.61M. Bank of America analysts raised the price target by $4 to $26 per share.
$Elastic(ESTC.US)$ shares jumped more than 18% pre-open Friday after the company reported Q2 results, with EPS of $0.37 coming in better than the consensus estimate of $0.24. Revenue grew 17% year-over-year to $311 million, beating the consensus estimate of $304.44M. Elastic Cloud revenue was $135M, representing an increase of 31% year-over-year.
Wells Fargo analysts upgraded the stock's rating to Overweight as they expect revenue growth "will bottom out in FQ4 and accelerate in FY25 largely driven by GenAI and share gains in the Log/SIEM markets."
$Ulta Beauty(ULTA.US)$ stock soared 11% after the cosmetics retailer raised the lower end of its annual net sales forecast and named Paula Oyibo its new chief financial officer.
Gapping down
$Alibaba(BABA.US)$ shares fell more than 1.3% in pre-market Friday trade after Morgan Stanley analysts downgraded shares to Equal Weight from Overweight with a price target cut by $20 to $90 per share.
The downgrade is attributed to negative developments impacting the previous bullish thesis. These include a slower turnaround in Customer Management Revenue and cloud services, the withdrawal of the cloud spin-off introducing uncertainty in value unlocking from reorganization, and a perceived lack of capital management catalyst without cloud distribution.
$Dell Technologies(DELL.US)$ shares fell about 4% in pre-market trade after the company reported revenue of $22.3 billion (down 10% year-over-year), worse than the consensus estimate of $23.01B.
$Marvell Technology(MRVL.US)$ stock fell 4.8% after the chipmaker's fourth-quarter revenue forecast fell short of expectations, while also reporting declining third-quarter revenue.
$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ stock fell 2.2% after the electric-vehicle maker started deliveries of its Cybertruck electric pickup on Thursday, with a starting price of $60,990, above its original forecast.
