Definition of Entanglement Entanglement is a fundamental concept in quantum physics that describes a unique connection between particles, regardless of the distance separating them. This phenomenon was first introduced by Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky, and Nathan Rosen in 1935, in what is known as the EPR paradox, and was later coined as “entanglement” by Erwin Schrödinger.
