Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing is considering extending stock trading hours to better align with trading hours in major global markets, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter. A proposal to eliminate the lunch break has also emerged.
According to sources, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has presented several proposals to major securities firms and trading firms over the past few weeks.
