The Eagle

An eagle can actually sense a storm before it happens.  Once it does, it will fly higher to get above the wind current.  Once the storm fully hits, the eagle uses the wind force to soar above the storm, avoiding all of the danger and actually allows the storm winds to carry it further and faster.
We too can use storms to create opportunity.  Even on a red day, opportunities abound for us to soar if we can buy in low, diversify and be a contrarian to the trend chasers that populate Wall Street.  We can't be sure what the day will bring us red or green, but we can use the winds of change to take us above the fray and to make sound decisions.
We are in February. Mark Twain said it well: “February is a tumultuous month to speculate in stocks.  The other dangerous months are  March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December and January."  We never have certainties in the market, but we can work to prepare to soar anyways.  Always look to fly like an eagle.
