Tesla Robotaxi and $25k Model may be based on the same platform

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK)$ $NIO Inc(NIO.US)$ $XPeng(XPEV.US)$ There are many speculations about Tesla Robotaxi and cancelation of $25k electric vehicle model but I think the closest (based on the latest post by Tesla Chief Designer's X.com post) is from Sawyer Merritt.

He thinks that Tesla's low-cost $25k car and the Robotaxi were always going to be based on the same platform. They were going to be very similar, but the $25k version was going to have a steering wheel. EM and the team have been so impressed with how good FSD V12 has performed and were thinking they should shift more resources to the Robotaxi/FSD effort. This doesn't mean the $25k car is canceled.

Comment: Tesla Chief Designer on the rumors that Tesla's $25k car with a steering wheel is cancelled: "I would just say stay tuned. Don’t always believe what you read." I think this post crushed all rumors that Tesla is cancelling the $25k model. Like I said previously only time will tell the truth (in August).
