Tesla defies the odds against the establishment haters to win 18% of supercharge bids.

Tesla is leading the bids for supercharger station projects in the US. They have won 8.5 out of 77 millions given for building supercharger stations in several states. US gov plans to invest 1 bil into charger
1. Tesla bids are on average 20-70% cheaper than the competitions at about 392k per site versus an average of 795k per site from rivals.
2. For each site, Tesla would build from 8 to 12 chargers, while rivals mostly stick to the minimum required of 4 chargers. So Tesla offers more chargers at half the price!
3. The charging industry other than Tesla is known to suffer from many problems, including: broken equiments and disputes with utility companies.
5. Tesla vertically integrates charging business and EV business, and it produces its own charger. In the bid in Maine, Tesla proposed cost per charger of 17k is much cheaper than the other company asking for a price of 130k!
Tesla offers half the price for 2-3 times more chargers per site, which are more reliable, but they only get 18% of the bids???
This is why America is the Banana Republic 🍌  it is today! Clear corruption and lack meritocracy.
