Tesla could start selling Optimus robots by the end of next year

Several companies have been betting on humanoid robots to meet potential labor shortages and perform repetitive tasks that could be dangerous or tedious in industries such as logistics, warehousing, retail and manufacturing. Musk told investors on a conference call that he guessed the Tesla robot, called Optimus, would be able to perform tasks in the factory by the end of this year.

My take: Tesla humanoid robot Optimus in the marketing phase is not unexpected if you follow the news. Like the AI-based software Full Self Driving or FSD V12 (supervised), it may be the next big rally for the company if you can find the right business model. The analogy was Budget Airlines and Grab Taxi which stormed the market off guard because nobody believed the business model worked at that time. Skeptics were laughing that they would face regulatory hurdle but who was having the last laugh at the end.
