Tesla and US Department of Labor sued for interfering with union formation
It became clear on the 9th that Tesla, a major US electric vehicle (EV) company, had been criticized by the US labor authorities for interfering with labor union formation at a factory in Buffalo, New York. It is said that employees were prohibited from using mobile phones and other electronic devices at the factory.
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) charged the company on the 8th that Tesla's workplace rules, which prohibit the use of personal technology, recording, and storage and sharing of information, violate labor laws. Tesla declined to comment.
The American Auto Workers Union (UAW) has been trying to organize Tesla employees for several years. In November, it was announced that efforts aimed at organization would be promoted again for factories without labor unions across the United States.
