Kcler : The TSLY will do a dividend payout which will make you see a drop in pricing. That’s why you see a 5% drop due to giving out the dividend.
niketpatel3OP Kcler: I think I’m confused. If we’re getting the dividend in a few days but the stock price goes down doesn’t that mean the profit is 0?
Strong Like Bull niketpatel3OP: You are correct..if the stock drops less than the dividend, you profit. If the stock drops the same as the dividend you make Zero. If the stock drops more then the dividend you are losing. However, the stock drop maybe a good thing . Most shareholders use a dip as an opportunity to buy more shares with their dividend earnings. If you look at dividend reinvestment stock charts and calculations, you will see how this strategy could be VERY beneficial.
Kcler Strong Like Bull: That’s what I’m doing everytime the price drop I add more until the average is below the entry price or until I have enough shares.
niketpatel3OP Strong Like Bull: So we’re not actually getting a 60% Div Yield right?
Strong Like Bull Kcler: I don’t focus as much on the average share price because theoretically I can manipulate that number by purchasing more shares to get a better number. I concentrate on the initial purchase price and how fast that can be paid down to Zero with the dividend. A .58 per month gives me a timeline of about 2 years with TSLY, pretty good. Even better if you reinvest the monthly payments.
niketpatel3OP Strong Like Bull: Sweet thank you for this
