Singapore Airlines' Passenger Traffic, Capacity Up in March.
Singapore Airlines said the group's passenger traffic climbed nearly 14% in March on a capacity increase of about 16%, according to a Singapore bourse filing on Monday.
The increase reflects passenger traffic growth of 14% for Singapore Airlines and a little over 13% for Scoot, the filing said.
The group's passenger load factor slipped 1.3 points year over year to 87.7 from 89, with Singapore Airlines and Scoot posting load factors of 86.3 and 93.1, respectively.
Meanwhile, the group's cargo load rose by almost 16% as capacity expanded by 6%. The jump was due to increased inventory flows by shippers and charters for various entertainment events, the filing said.
