Short-selling stock?
question for moomoo team that i cant find the answer for. when you short-sell a stock, does it count as a sell in your day trades? what i mean is; You have 3 short sells in 5 days. (3-3-3-3-3)
What happens if i buy a stock short when my day trades look like this (1-1-1-1-1)? Will that count as a sell and mark me as a PDT? The reason im done to 1 left is because i finally tried a stop-limit trade and did'nt know it counted as a short sell... Almost lost the account because of not knowing enough, thats why i need help answering this before i try anything.
Please help.

According to the rules of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), a pattern day trader (PDT) is someone who executes four or more day trades within any five consecutive business days. All brokerage firms registered in the United States and regulated by FINRA and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) are subject to the day trading rules.
