S&P Upgrades Meituan to 'BBB', Expects Local Commerce Biz to Remain Strong

S&P Global Ratings raised both of its long-term issuer credit rating on $MEITUAN-W(03690.HK)$ and the issue ratings on the company's senior unsecured notes from "BBB-" to "BBB", with a Stable outlook. The rating agency anticipated the strong momentum of MEITUAN-W in core local commerce to continue.

The firm added that, under the challenging economic environment, MEITUAN-W will likely concentrate on enhancing operating efficiency and profitability.
