Current earnings reports are not a gamble; no matter how good the reports are, the stock can still fall, whether slightly or significantly. UNH, AMD, META, LMT, MSFT, HOOD — none of them have risen. Among the companies I’ve been following recently, only KO saw an increase after releasing its earnings report... but it has also retraced some gains in the past few days.

NVDA? NVDA’s earnings report doesn’t look promising, and assuming the U.S. government remains shut down, even the most impressive earnings won’t matter. Among the companies I mentioned, only META fell short of expectations; the rest exceeded them. Those that didn’t rise all fell.
