Gais, I'm a newbie here on first time receiving dividend. In option for receiving 'cash' or 'cash and securities'. Which one should I go for that is much worth it?
On another context, what does this statement from moomoo email indicate "Fees & Charges (Per application): RM10.00 – STAMP DUTY"? Do we have to pay RM10 for receiving either option 1 or option 2 dividend?

  • Moomoo Lily : @Moomoo Buddy Please help assist it.

  • Kyrios : have the same question. hope got the answer here

  • Mysteriooo : Depend, if you’re only offer for less than 1 lot of reinvest share, I would suggest just get the cash dividend. As odd was hard to trade and the fee & charges might over your profit of reinvest.

Transaction fee will only charged when you select option 2 reinvest because it also a trade action for the platform

  • 103143732 : If you can’t get 100 shares then I would suggest to take cash (option 1) due to reasons as mentioned above, odd lot shares are hard to sell. Unless you plan to slowly accumulate then yes you can go with shares.

Rm10 stamp duty is only chargeable if you choose option 2. Not chargeable for option 1.

  • MapleVX : I have this question also.

  • Shiock MapleVX: if for long-term investment, can select opt 2 for shares n cash. The shares are valued at rm4.88/share, which is at a disc to the market price. You can sell it later for extra profit

  • MapleVX Shiock: Oh, I got it. If select option 2, RM10 of stamp duty will charged. Thanks!

  • 102989673OP Mysteriooo: Understandable, since I'm getting odd lot share. I would jus go for option 1 which is the most beneficial in my case. Thanks
