Pulled a horse shoe out my a$$
What a roller coaster of event s today. Im not sure what is harder learning to trade or trying to trade while still doing that work thing. Today should of been burtal before work charts i thought looked good for a couple of safe trades so i started the day with 1000 share of $Destiny Tech100(DXYZ.US$ $Root Inc(ROOT.US$ and some other ticker (brain fart) each. I’ll only bore you with the first ticker $Destiny Tech100(DXYZ.US$ as the other played out as plan safeamd with small profit which is what I was looking for knowing I couldnt pay full attention to my trades thanks to work. Anyways I started the session with 1000 w/ 82.00 avg. and dont know what made me think this was going to be a safe trade but boy was i wrong, by the time i got my guys set up and was able to check on things I nearly shit my pants I was down 20k which put my yield % down to 24 from 40 and it did not look like it wanted to stop. So what do you do ? well fuck it do your best to drop that average and hope for the best… kinda of sort of… like i said i do believe in the potential in this stock which helped a bit but honestly its exactly what most will do… all or nothing right. So with a couple of trades i was able to drop that avg to 77 while not exceeding the 40% rule. Then had to work, left my ph in the truck and did my thing and find out the end results whenthe day is done. When that time came let me tell ya this time i did shit my pants I thought i was high or something my p/l for the day was sitting at +4109 green. At some point the two sell orders i put in for basiclly a breakeven of my orginal 1000 share purchases earlier im the day both hit resulting in pretty good gains considering i avg. down on both tickers and breakeven was my orginal entry price. But unfortunately still having to get back to the shop and do last minute work shit by the time i was able to get back online this what i was able to squeak by with to end the day postive in the green amd holding no shares. What impressed myself the most was i able to pull it off with only a single lossing trade out of i believe 5 or 6. Most definitely do not recommend following this way of trading cause in this game you should never count on luck.
Have a plan and follow the plan, dont worry about being loyal to a single strategy just be loyal to the plan you set before jumping in. Best of luck Cheers
