Pricing in the future
The last FOMC meeting of the year falls on 12 and 13 December.
The market is widely expecting the Fed to hold the interest rate at current level again. Basically, just stopping short of declaring victory in the fight to bring down inflation.
The current market is moving based on expectations or what we called pricing in the future (rate cuts)
Would it be 1st quarter or 1st half of 2024, or would it be towards the end of 2024? What are your thoughts / guess?
