PENTA's automotive business blossomed as a result
Today, PENTA's results, turnover, and profit were all at record highs. If you look closely, PENTA's turnover in the last two quarters has been higher than VITROX, the ATE leader, but margin is not as good.
PENTA faced many challenges during the 2020 pandemic. Engineers were unable to install at customer factories, and transportation problems occurred. However, these are all transition periods. From 2021 to 2023, the company's turnover exceeded a record high for 3 consecutive years.
Why are others still trying to recover? PENTA has continued to hit new heights. Mainly because PENTA saw a slowdown in smartphones a few years ago, it deployed services such as IGBT and SiC many years ago. The contribution of the automobile business in the latest quarter exceeded 60% for the first time, which is the main reason for the company's successful counterattack.
Penta's PLANT 3 is expected to complete Phase 1 by the end of the year and Phase 2 in the second half of 2024. The expansion of more than RM40 mils in the first half of this year is already a record high. These expansions are mainly aimed at expanding Medical's business. It also stimulated turnover growth, reaching the target of turnover exceeding RM1,000 mil in 2025.
I hope PENTA does better and better, and Hong Kong's PENTA will rise soon.
