For the first time since November 2021, the total amount invested in bitcoin exceeded $1 trillion on Wednesday as inflows into U.S. spot exchange-traded funds supported the price of cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin hit $52,079 on Wednesday, its highest level in 25 months. According to price website Coingecko, it was recently up 4.29% at $51,690, bringing the token's market capitalization to $1.013 trillion.
