$Ondas Holdings (ONDS.US)$ My cost is $5.50 per share, and I hold 1,000 shares. I am optimistic about the long-term prospects. However, I estimate that there will be a significant drop on May 12. Should I sell now and repurchase at a lower price on May 12 after the decline?

  • Wagensaoirse : Lockup usually will take place gradually, not in one shot, so technically it will not really affect, unless it's newbies who don't know how to read

  • ExtremeInvestment OP Wagensaoirse : I am a beginner.

  • 股市如毒 : Sell if there is sufficient profit! Because after the lock-up period ends, increased selling pressure in the market may lead to a decline in stock prices. You can always buy back later!

  • 锻炼心智 : It’s quite straightforward. What kind of player are you? A long-term investor who ignores the process, buys at 5.5, and sells when it reaches 11 within a year? A 100% return in one year—where else can you find that? Or do you want more, taking the risk of possibly missing out, potentially earning more or less through trading operations—selling some when the price is high and buying more when it's low? In fact, saying that the market might fall (📉) doesn’t necessarily mean it will, because those with money make all the decisions, and it could surge at any moment. Retail investors are just韭菜 (leeks). So, if you’re worried about a downturn, sell some. But if you sell too early, don’t come blaming me.

  • ExtremeInvestment OP 锻炼心智 : Without any preconceived notions, simply listen to opinions from all sides and learn.

  • ExtremeInvestment OP 股市如毒 : That makes a lot of sense.

  • 锻炼心智 ExtremeInvestment OP : A stable mindset is key. There are opportunities to make money every day. In the end, I would rather sell too early than be left holding at the peak, exposed to the cold wind.[undefined] Busy.

  • 锤爆市场 : If the annual return has already reached your target, you can close the position and wait for opportunities to find more high-quality stocks. If you believe that this stock will have explosive growth in the future and do not want to miss out, then hold onto it because this is a long-term investment that will not be affected by minor fluctuations.

Alternatively, you can first close part of the position to secure profits. If there is indeed a sharp drop next week on 5/12, use part of the proceeds to buy back, allowing you to achieve two goals at once: calming your mind while purchasing shares at a lower price. In case of a surge, you still have shares that can continue to appreciate.

  • 106694753 : Sell, or sell half. Given the high volatility of this stock, you will definitely have a chance to buy it back at a lower price.

  • chipsmore23332 : It is recommended to sell a portion of the holdings. My cost basis was 6.2, and I have sold 70% of my position, while continuing to monitor the market for the remainder.
