Nvidia’s retail stock buying frenzy will begin to take off after this. 6 things to know
✅ Nvidia shares rose 6% to $1,006 after hours after the GPU leader reported stronger than expected earnings.
✅ $NVIDIA(NVDA.US$ annouced a 10-for-1 stock split which makes it shares more “affordable”. So a 10-for-1 split based on that price, each share would cost $106.
The stock split will make $NVIDIA(NVDA.US$ shares so much more attractive to retail investors. Alphabet, Amazon and Tesla all did stock splits in 2022. 🚀
✅ Revenue +262% in Qtr. So its the 3rd quarter of revenue growth > 200%. $NVIDIA(NVDA.US$’s data center business grew at a whopping 427%.
✅ Nvidia’s most important clients for its graphics processing units (GPUs) are the big cloud providers — Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud. They comprised “mid-40%” of Nvidia’s $22.56 billion in data center sales in the April quarter, the company said.

Separately, Jensen Huang said Meta $Meta Platforms(META.US$ declared its intention to spend billions of dollars on 350,000 Nvidia chips, even though the company isn’t a cloud provider. Meta will likely have to monetize its investment through its advertising business or by including a chatbot inside its current apps.
