  • 耐心等待2024 : Ride-hailing apps themselves don't need to be able to build cars; they only need to cooperate with car builders to launch autonomous driving to reduce operating costs and thus obtain excessive profits.

  • jitter 耐心等待2024: Agree, and their apps client base is their powerful asset.

  • MonkeyGee : Is that before FSD Tesla learns how to self-park or after?

  • TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP 耐心等待2024: why do you think the car makers that has everything need to cooperate n splits profits with a ride hailing app when they can earn all the profits themselves or mayb they only need a cleaning company to clean the car interior.mayb Uber n grab can be a cleaning company by then.

  • Y0L0 TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP: Uber and Grab have existing customer base, which having stable volume of drivers onboarded. From a customer point of view, there is an app that allow you to quickly get any model of car VS an app that only provide you Tesla cars with longer waiting time. Which one you prefer?

In future, Uber and Grab can adopt self-driving car which does not have the limitation of certain brand of car like Tesla.

In future if all the car makers go into this direction, will they come up their self ride hailing app? it will be interesting if Uber and Grab can consolidate all the self-driving car makers into their platform and compete with Tesla only platform…

  • TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP Y0L0: why the hell any car makers need to work with riding hailing app? when they hv the equipment n spare parts to earn money from the streets right off the assembly lines. user data? a 1st time free ride will get them all the user data. matching pax n driver is as simple as hiring a team of programming engineers. ride hailing companies can only become a car wash service companies in the end

  • Y0L0 TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP: Just a simple supply and demand problem. If offering free first ride can maintain the demand, Uber and Grab would already been replaced by other competitors. Gaining more profits without sharing it with ride-hailing app? Lol, Tesla is just creating its own ride-hailing app. Are you sure the Tesla app won’t charge a fee for ride-hailing? This would mean incurring higher costs in Tesla before achieving profit.

  • TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP Y0L0: especially if they want the entire market share from uber which is just a middle man app , moreover robotaxis has no driver earnings which is the major cost , next the robotaxis can run 24/7 stopping only for charging so why they fuck they need a ride hailing app when Tesla car software is alrdy way more powerful than a ride hailing app. user data is an overrated Humpty Dumpty that can be broken with first time free rides n ever low prices that can't be matched. imagine Tesla give. free ride for every payride for 1 year...U think Uber or it's fleet of drivers got the money to compete under current high interest rates provide free ride for every paid ride? in a year time, no one would even remember Uber app was on their phone. if Uber can disrupt taxi, robotaxis can disrupt Uber even more thoroughly.

  • Y0L0 TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP: One year free ride? Lol

  • TRIUMPHANT RETURNSOP Y0L0: U forgot there is no human driver in the equation...fuel cost is marginal...no app commission, it's basic cost to sustain itself until ride hailing app becomes a relic like a phone book. just the first week of robotaxis success, Uber could lose 90% of it's stock value. no bank going to loan to a stock that lost 90% value. n beside who care what brand of car passenger only get a ride from point a to b...they only want it cheap OR FREE.
