Nio provides 65,779 battery swap services on average per day in Apr

Nio has released an operational report of its charging and battery swap infrastructure for Apl, showcasing user usage habits.

Between Apr 1 and 30, Nio vehicle owners used 1,973,376 battery swap services, according to information released yesterday by the Nio App.

Nio's battery swap stations provided an average of 65,779 services per day in Apr, with a vehicle getting a fully charged battery via battery swap every 1.31 seconds, the company said.

On average, each Nio user made four battery swaps in Apr, each time taking about three minutes, according to the company.

Nio added 14 battery swap stations in China in April, bringing the number of the facility to 2,411 as of the end of Apr, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

As of now, 80.15% of Nio owners can find a battery swap station within 3 kilometres of their home or office.

The company also had 2,210 supercharging stations in China at the end of Apr, offering 10,080 charging piles, and 1,580 destination charging stations offering 11,980 charging piles.

Nio delivered 15,620 vehicles in Apr, bringing its cumulative deliveries since inception to 495,267, close to the 500,000 mark.

For Nio customers, 55.33% of the energy they added to their vehicles in Apr came from battery swap stations, 23.68% from home chargers, 17.28% from third-party charging posts and 3.71% from Nio public charging stalls.

The company added 292 new charging piles in Apr, bringing the number of charging piles to 22,092.

Nio provided 1,739,789 charging services in Apr, totaling 38,265,889 charging services to date, with 85.39% of those orders serving non-Nio branded vehicles, according to the company.

To date, Nio's charging facilities have cumulatively served more than 190 brands of EVs.

Nio provided 18,452 battery upgrades in April for a cumulative total of 231,892 battery upgrades.
