My mom taught me the value of generosity.

First of all, Happy mother's day to all the moms and mother figures in the world!
For me this would mostly apply to my mom and grandma as they were the ones who took care of me the most.
While my mom never taught me anything related to finances, she did teach me generosity and humbleness, I would always be told to acknowledge my own luck in life as not many people share the same experience as I do (i come from a rather wealthy family), and that when i ate food, i should be grateful and not waste it.
In a way, this is the reason why despite being quite young, i always try to donate some amount of money to random charities whenever the markets did well or whenever i got my salary, she was the one who made me pick up such a habit.
Admittedly she was rather protective and imposed alot of restrictions on my independance, but when i turned 18 she was more than willing to give me capital and free liberty to learn investing and use money as i wish.
Without her acknowledgement i probably would've never touched all these investment related stuff and i probably would've wasted it in random luxury goods if not for her teaching me a more "honorable" way of life.
Oh and most importantly, she gave me alot of freedom during my studies, i pursued a finance course in poly mostly because she gave me alot of freedom to choose what i wanted to learn, i probs would've turned out forced into becoming a doctor or engineer like most parents do, if not for the freedom i was given.
Thats all from me and Happy Mother's Day!
