My 2025 Investment Review, Staying Calm in a Volatile Market
2025 was the year I focused on becoming a better investor.
This year, I gradually shifted my approach and relied more on Sell Put options. Not because they are “easy money”, but because they forced me to respect risk, patience, and emotional control. I stopped chasing excitement and started prioritising consistency.
One important lesson I learned is that waiting is also a strategy.
Many times, the best trade was not entering at all.
When selling puts, choosing the right company matters far more than chasing high premiums. I only sell puts on businesses I’m comfortable owning if assigned — this mindset alone changed how I view risk.
Of course, the journey wasn’t smooth. There were moments of floating losses, hesitation, and self-doubt. But these experiences taught me something valuable:
Options are not about prediction — they are about preparation.
Sell Put strategies helped me understand that:
Risk management comes before profit
Time and patience are your real edge
Emotional discipline matters more than market direction
Small, repeatable wins beat emotional trading
If you’re new to options, my sincere advice is this:
Don’t treat options as a shortcut to quick profits. Treat them as a tool that requires maturity, discipline, and respect for risk. When your mindset improves, your results tend to follow.
Looking ahead to 2026, my goal remains simple:
stay consistent, avoid big mistakes, and stay in the game long enough for probabilities to work.
🔑 Three keywords for my 2025:
#SellPutDiscipline
#EmotionOverPrediction
#ConsistencyOverExcitement
If you’re willing to slow down, manage emotions, and respect risk,
options can become a powerful long-term strategy — not a gamble.
