Read some comments that cheap skate cars are being made in tesla. very silly and amateur posting to wrongly influence others.

it's actually a very smart pricing and market segmentation strategy by tesla to woo price sensitive potential EV buyers to swing over to tesla. as more consumers switch to buying EVs fr petroleum cars, and more EV models are launched, pricing has to be competitive and affordable for the masses.  tesla is also trying to grow this price sensitive segment/market and to defend its market share. revenue will go up with some impact on gross margins. however, these cars with lower prices also cost lesser to manufacture. market dominance is important in the highly commoditised EV industry.
