It’s a wrap!
On Friday, the Moomoo Singapore family took part in the SGX Cares Bull Charge 2023, a charity initiative by the SGX Group that brings together members of the financial community to support the needs of underprivileged children and families, persons with disabilities, as well as the elderly.
The annual event, held at the Marina Barrage for the first time, raised more than S$2.5 million for SGX Cares’ adopted beneficiaries, with the proceeds from fundraising activities held this year to be channelled via the Community Chest to AWWA, Autism Association (Singapore), Fei Yue Community Services, HSCA Community Services and Shared Services for Charities.
Moomoo Singapore’s participation came at our flagship event — MooFest 2023 — where our CEO Mr Gavin Chia presented Mr Pol de Win, Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Sales and Origination at SGX Group, with a cheque for $45,000 to officially mark our support for SGX Cares Bull Charge.

“We are proud to support SGX Group in this meaningful initiative to touch the lives of those in need. SGX has been a key partner for us, and our cooperation extends beyond today’s Bull Charge event. Having said that, we are very proud to join them in this meaningful event to give back to society,” Chia said.

Our colleagues from Shenzhen also joined our colleagues in Singapore to take part in the run. “It has been such an eye-opening trip to Singapore so far and the key highlight of my trip is undoubtedly taking part in my first overseas race, and with the Moomoo family no less,” said Rosemarie Lin, Marketing Planner for the Singapore planning team.
“I’ve learnt so much about this charity initiative from my colleagues in Singapore and I’m glad to have the opportunity to take part in such a meaningful activity. It’s not often that we get to visit our overseas colleagues and take part in something so purposeful at the same time,” Lin added.

Celebrating 11 years of achievements
Our participation in SGX Cares Bull Charge comes as we celebrated Futu’s 11-year anniversary in our Singapore office. Our founder, Leaf Li, shared with staff the origins of Futu’s humble beginnings, as well as the lessons learnt from our rapid growth over the years.

Giving back to the community
As a fintech company, Moomoo stands at the intersection of finance and tech. It is a unique position that enables us to use our tech capabilities and financial know-how to deliver the biggest impact for the less privileged.
Financial literacy is a key pillar of our corporate social responsibility initiatives, and we are using our advanced tech capabilities to help us deliver these financial literacy programs.
Moomoo Singapore will be taking part in its first financial literacy program targeted at primary school children on 3 November, with our staff heading down to Fuhua Primary School to teach more than 200 students how to better manage their pocket money and the importance of financial prudence.
“Whether it’s Moomoo Singapore or the larger Futu Group, we have always been committed to help the needy and underprivileged. and we are constantly looking at different ways to have the largest impact on these segments of society,” Chia said.
