Moofolio Vision: Fierce competition as portfolios perform –1 week update

This article compares the performance of three portfolios created to highlight investment principles. The details of the Moofolios are in this original article: Moofolio Vision: Here Are Our 3 Strategies and How We'll Man... - moomoo Community
The Net Asset Value (NAV) for all three portfolios is ahead. The portfolios were created on 8 September 2025, so the increase in NAV is the performance after just over a week. Here's a snapshot taken at 9 am AEST on 16 September 2025:
Performance - 8 Sep to 15 Sep '25
Performance - 8 Sep to 15 Sep '25
It’s not surprising in a rising market that all three moofolios have delivered positive returns. However the very similar 1.01 % increase in the 3 stock and the core and satellite portfolios supports the idea that keeping things simple is a powerful investment approach. Both portfolios outperformed the 0.77% increase in the ASX200 index, although with only a week’s performance so far we’re not leaping to any conclusions.
Even more eye-catching is the performance of the US Super Ten moofolio. A 2.4% increase over the week is a good start and illustrates the power of international diversification. This graph compares the portfolio to the ASX 200 and the Nasdaq:
The US Super 10 paperfolio
The US Super 10 paperfolio
The graph shows the USS10 portfolio was broadly in line with the Nasdaq, missing by about 0.1%. However the USS10 delivered significantly higher returns than the ASX200. For Australian investors the USS10 is a diversification across borders AND industries. Once again the sample period is small, and things may change, but over the last two years the outperformance of US tech stocks has rewarded international diversification strategies.
What’s your view? Will the outperformance of US stocks continue, or will the Australian market portfolios catch up, or overtake? Tell the Community by selecting one of these responses:
