Monad Could Be the Next Big Move in High-Performance Chains

For now, my plan is simple: follow the launch closely on moomoo US, track developer activity, and watch how liquidity forms in the first weeks. If Monad attracts strong early traction, it could become one of the major narratives of the next cycle.
I’ve been following the “high-performance blockchain” narrative since the early Solana days. Back then, people said Ethereum was too slow, too expensive, and too crowded — and that opened the door for new chains to innovate. Fast forward to today, and Solana has proven that speed matters. But there’s still room for another serious contender, especially one that keeps Ethereum compatibility.
That’s why Monad (MON) is particularly interesting to me.
Monad’s entire pitch centers on parallelized EVM execution. In simple terms, if $Solana (SOL.CC)$ ’s strength is raw speed, Monad’s strength is “speed without rewriting everything.” Developers can use the same tools they use on Ethereum, but get a much faster system underneath.
For investors, this matters more than it seems.
Why? Because developer migration is one of the strongest predictors of long-term ecosystem growth. If developers don’t want to move, the chain dies. If they do, liquidity, users, and real applications follow.
Monad targets this exact sweet spot:
• Familiar developer environment
• Faster execution
• Lower fees
• Better throughput
It’s like giving the $Ethereum (ETH.CC)$ world a performance upgrade without forcing everyone to learn a new programming language.
The second angle I find compelling is the timing of MON’s launch. The market has been waiting for a new L1 with real technical depth, not just hype. And while meme coins and narratives are fun, institutional participation usually follows infrastructure — not memes. Monad’s backers include major crypto funds, and the fact that its launch coincides with renewed attention on U.S.-based tokens says something.
The question most traditional investors ask is:“Why do we even need another blockchain?”
The simplest answer: performance creates new categories of applications. High-frequency trading, real-time gaming, complex DeFi — all these things need blockchains that don’t slow down under load.
$Solana (SOL.CC)$ has shown what’s possible when you optimize execution. Monad tries to take that further by building on top of $Ethereum (ETH.CC)$ ’s ecosystem rather than replacing it.
The third angle is the team. Coming from Jump Trading gives them credibility in performance engineering. You don’t work in HFT without understanding latency, reliability, and scalability. Those are exactly the things that slow blockchains down today.
Of course, none of this guarantees MON will succeed. Ecosystem growth takes time, and building trust takes even longer. But the foundation is strong, and as someone who trades on both traditional and crypto markets, Monad feels like one of the few new L1 projects that are actually trying to solve something real.
