Microsoft earnings preview

In $Microsoft(MSFT.US)$ 's September quarter, Wall Street expected revenue of $54.5 billion, up 8.8%, with a profit of $2.65 a share, up from $2.35 a year earlier, based on Factset data. Analysts expect growth from theAIsegment of theAzureCloud business, based on guidance that implied a 25% growth in the quarter.The stock is down 7% since the company last reported earnings in late July, amid disappointment that results had yet to show a real boost from AI, but up 36% this year.
