$Micron Technology (MU.US)$ this trade war is going to take some time. It's not just some random earth metals and it's totally different this time compared to April. Hope china and us align to a win win scenario, it's going to impact entire supply chain esp tech. :(
That said I'm cashing in more money for buying power.

MemoriesInSlowMotion : Agree that this will take some time, but i dun see any possible win win when u have one party who just wants to take it all (i can do whatever i want to you but u cannot do the same to me). None of this is new China is only reacting to US and learning from the best at this game (US - this is exactly what US did with the over reaching Chips curb around the world)
104528497 OP : well yes, I wonder what is the near term solution. New china imposition will impact 90 of earth metals. Weapons, Ev, semiconductor will be affected. Pretty much entire market. China is going to have more impact than US from this. Expecting next action from them. Exciting weeks ahead.

Trump is just afraid china will outgrow US.
狼来啦 : I believe this time it will only get worse, so don't be overly optimistic
.
104528497 OP 狼来啦 : IKR

Seeing it as opportunity instead.
MemoriesInSlowMotion 104528497 OP : I believe China is more prepared this time compared to 2018 (China was genuinely surprised back then) and since Apr 25, it was clear that China has much more leverage than US while US had been operating like they were still in 2018. So this time, China wont be giving in. The discussions, if any (China never confirmed there was a meeting planned, i think US is just gonna gate crash them again like the last meeting) will likely end up a nothing burger and US will still make claims like something fruitful was confirmed, like what they had been doing the last 6 months. in actual fact i dun think it is possible for US to implement 100% Tariff as well. it's just taxing their own corporations and citizens. I dun think they can take it much more.
MemoriesInSlowMotion : Plus Christmas is around the corner, we might see civil war if they implement 100% Tariffs on China at this stage...
