What happened to the market last night?
On Friday, the stock market had a bit of a rollercoaster day. At today's start, there was a lot of selling, but buyers eventually stepped in, and things began to balance out. Tech stocks, like $NVIDIA(NVDA.US$, had a particularly good day, rising by 8.47%. This uplift helped other tech companies too. For example, $Tesla(TSLA.US$, after having a tough month, saw its shares go up by 7%. The coming days will be important to see if this is a lasting trend or just a brief bounce.
However, $NVIDIA(NVDA.US$'s big jump reminds us of another company, $Super Micro Computer(SMCI.US$, which also had a similar rise before it reported its earnings.
