egan1 : i think this is just you not understanding how short sellers operate. the goal of most traders is to not impact the price (so they can sell more shares at a higher price) and it's literally impossible for short sellers to short a company out of business. if a company you're invested in has a high short interest its probably worth looking at why before you make up a conspiracy about market manipulation. short selling serves an important function in the markets by finding fraud, assisting with price discovery and the prevention of bubbles. shorts are not the reason mara is losing value.
