🇲🇾Bursa Market Insight

The $FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index (.KLSE.MY)$ rose 20.10 points, or 1.25%, to 1,624.57. Bursa Malaysia started December trading strongly, reaching its highest level in nearly two weeks despite a generally cautious market.
Malaysia’s factory sector returned to marginal growth in November: the S&P Global Manufacturing PMI crept up to 50.1—its first reading above the 50-mark since May 2024—thanks to the fastest inflow of new orders since early-2022.
Although firms bought more inputs, output stayed subdued because of material shortages, stiffer competition and a heavier tax load. Nevertheless, the revival in new business lifted confidence to its highest level in months.
