Long term prospect

Hi everyone, I'm relatively new in this and I have been accumulating this reit since Feb last year however it keeps dropping and I'm getting a little worried. I'm planned to hold for long term (5-10 years? or even longer) but I'm just not too confident to accumulate more, not sure if it is too risky. What do you advise?

  • BULRUN : Why you want to buy a reit which has such a huge propertion in china japan and hong kong?
China housing crisis. Japan and hong kong currency depreciation. The reit also cut its DPU. It may be a good play in the long term but for the next year or 2, the reit will not perform well compared to its peers.

  • Apple Looking Good : Been on this boat before covid when the price was 2.13? It's dropping like who knows when it will stop. thinking of dca but is this a waste of money and time. .

  • Learning Uncle : hmm.. I'm also holding this. avg price is $1.44. just waiting for it to drop further to dca. that's my plan. but I dun buy big at once

  • HappyGotLucky : This Reit is not really affected by the assets in China, and exposure in China is minimal. Even so, those assets in HK and CN are good assets. The current price is a steal, and I have started to accumulate since 1.29. At this price, I am likely to hold for a long time for good dividends.

  • SAAWOP : I see, thank you all for your inputs! Certainly helped 🙏

  • HODL RDDT : Interest rates higher for longer... Only 3 cuts this year means will still be quite high rate by end of 2024... U need near 0% rates to see the price recover back to $2

  • MJ23 The Bull : holding small qty at 1.58. won't go in anymore. the risk of China assets is a bottomless pit

  • Captain Woon : China including HK probably takes 25% of the renevue, but their Singapore assets very strong so hopefully able to offset most. Still holding tightly and DCA slowing from bottom.

  • Aivern : the question you need to ask yourself is if you think this is worth getting into for a turnaround play or are there better options for dividend investments. really depends on what your objectives are. people say "long term investment" when they dont know what's happening.
