AddisonInMaine LetMyPeopleGo4444 OP : tomorrow is a major money printer for options because FOMC day. tbh I'm expecting markets to tank on positive rate cut news. tsla my favorite to trade so I'll be rolling weekly expiration otm contracts. We're gonna try to get the puts for 1.10 per aka $110

AddisonInMaine : contracts don't need to hit their strike for you to print money and hit sell. fomc is such a great event watch SPY and TSLA. SPY contracts will probably go up far more than Teslas premium but I just like trading TSLA I'm very experienced there

AddisonInMaine LetMyPeopleGo4444 OP : usually on fomc days mag 7 stock move no where prior to the meeting. then the contracts IV explodes on news drop and contracts go up crazy, that's why I wait until 12-1pm to enter to get them as cheap as possible. one of my biggest trades ever was an FOMC trade a did a 50/50 hedge on my calls and puts spending only 3 dollars per contract which expires same day this was for SPY. Each of my 3 dollar contracts turned into 240 dollars per within 2 hours and I didn't even have to sell because they drove itm so my broker auto sold for me made huge gains.

LetMyPeopleGo4444 OP AddisonInMaine : thats nuts! its still onfusing to me though how all that works. thats why ive never tried options. i still have a lot to learn about everything. give me some time to learn about it and try to understand it better and I’ll definitely take you up on that offer!
