Li Auto ADAS mistakes image in overhead billboard as stationary vehicle in lane
$Tesla(TSLA.US$ $XPeng(XPEV.US$ $NIO Inc(NIO.US$ $BYD COMPANY(01211.HK$ The article reported that a brand-new Li Auto L9 run on ADAS mistakes the vehicle image in the overhead billboard as an actual stationary vehicle in the lane, resulting AEB to kick in, then hit by a vehicle coming from behind.
My Take: The video included caption saying it is a Li Auto running in ADAS or Advanced Driving Assistant System. The vehicle screen showed that it was recorded on 17 April 2024 but couldn't confirm what car model it belonged to. One commented that Tesla FSD beta 10.2 faced a similar problem a few years ago but have since solved the bug. Someone recently posted that Chinese EV ADAS has already overtaken Tesla FSD but the video showed that they (whatever the EV maker is) have a long way to reach Tesla FSD V12 accuracy.
