LooseMoose : Make them pay for what exactly? is there something that they have done wrong by others?
Borealis LooseMoose: They don’t know why. They just go with that
Nifedipine LooseMoose: Shorter usually manipulate the company so it fail, and hence no need to pay back their short.
Shroomie LooseMoose: yes, they shorted
LooseMoose Nifedipine: So you’re saying that a companies success or failure is related to whether it’s stock is up or down?
LooseMoose Nifedipine: Because all the companies that these hedge funds are shorting are clearly failing companies in fledgling industries who any rational person would look at and go yeah it makes sense that they’re failing. Why shouldn’t accompany like GameStop that has brick and mortar video game stores fail?
LooseMoose Borealis: (I know, but they’re so cute and ignorant, just can’t help but baiting them )
LooseMoose Nifedipine: Are you making the assertion that somehow these hedge funds are causing these companies to have increasingly declining revenues? Would you not expect movie theaters chains, brick, and mortar video game stores, etc to have declining revenue and failing distances because their industries have been disrupted by technology and as a result, their organization and products are becoming obsolete?
Expendabiggles LooseMoose: No, but if a company’s value is publicly traded and its value is shorted into the ground until the company is delisted. Yes, it does impact the company’s bottom line and can force them out of business. If they are small enough, it can cause a lot a damage. Job losses, income, people to lose homes, suffering, etc. it’s a fucking travesty what these wallstreet bastards are allowed to get away with.
LooseMoose Shroomie: Is shorting a company stock inherently bad?
