The financial market is indeed highly sensitive to interest rates hikes or cuts, as these decisions can significantly impact the overall decision.
But what other special days can investors keep an eye on?
Took a look at the following 4 days:
FOMC Meetings
The Fed meets 8 times a year. In 2024, it has indicated that several rate cuts could occur, which would lead to the direction of the market.
Earnings Season
In January, April, July, and October, companies announce their Quarterly performance, which can affect stock price trends.
Quadruple Witching Days
On the third Friday of March, June, September, and December, four major derivatives contracts expire, leading to significant stock market volatility.
13F Holdings Reports
By the 15th of February, May, August, and November, investors can track where the "smart money" (assets well over US$100 million) is moving.
These times often see big changes in the market and can be when it switches from growing to failing, or vice versa.
