As the hot summer nears, many of us start our days with a refreshing iced coffee, whether it's the weekend or a busy Monday. Coffee, a delightful break from stress, is part of our daily routine.
You've seen brands like $Starbucks (SBUX.US)$ $Luckin Coffee (LKNCY.US)$ in your daily life, but have you thought about their value as investments? Have you ever invested in these coffee companies 🤔️?
The coffee world is full of surprises. Take Luckin Coffee, for example. They had a tough time with some financial problems, but they managed to climb back up and do well again🤩. On the other hand, even big companies like Starbucks can have rough patches. Their recent earnings didn't hit the mark, leading to a dip in their stock value 😨.

  • mr_cashcow : Nothing beats kaya toast with soft-boiled egg and a nice cuppa coffee![undefined][undefined]

  • 010Leo : $Food Empire (F03.SG)$ I have invested in this company for very long. strong management. good dividend. People was surprised initially when I tell them of a singapore company manufacturing coffee and selling over at Russia. they have expanded. survived thru tough times like war, covid. now some sell down as ppl say high coffee bean price against them. I'll continue to dca with moomoo, just hope can get more trade rebates when my free commission end in Sept.

  • Thy GoD : Not to betray Moomoo but when i first started out investing i took on a promo on tiger brokers and got a $Starbucks (SBUX.US)$ share, the moment i received those shares, starbucks' earnings report released and there was an immediate price jump.

This is a screenshot of what happened the moment I got my starbucks shares, the gain was about 10% and i basically just got lucky.

Unfortunately im not actually a coffee fan, i never liked it and the times i drank them i would literally not be able to sleep.

The closest thing i ever had was just kaya toast (butter) from Ya Kun with like teh peng or smthn.

With regards of what kopi stock might do well, i think $Food Empire (F03.SG)$ could potentially do well, currently they have a dividend ttm of 3.8% which is decent, and their stock growth hasnt been too bad recently.

Looking at their annual report, theyve had improved earnings and global prescence throughout last year (2023) too.

  • 撒花 : I would say $NESTLE SA (NSRGF.US)$  .  It carries commodity instant coffee - always a heartland loving choice with affordability & capsule coffee with Starbucks - a convenient choice for a quick sip of better taste.  always a go-to choice when my fridge is running out of caffeine 😋

And it carries a variety of other food & drink brands on top of coffee line, making it a good choice for stockholders.

  • Learning Uncle : my trade on Starbucks is horrendous. cuz I trade earning period. never do that.
Starbucks is not making money in their investments in China yet as they had grow their exposure too fast and highly competitive from local brands. not only luckin coffee. many other smaller ones are also cheaper and nicer taste. many localised flavours too.
probably will take another year or 2 to see growth. that's why the stock price crashes last earnings.
but it will come back as the brand is strong and once china situation improves. I'm still selling puts, so hope it can go back soon.

  • MrZorro007 : for sure, no doubt us $Starbucks (SBUX.US)$ ,this coffee empire is doing great coffee and their product is quality [undefined]

  • Nblc : Starbucks! Believe in what you would purchase. Because if the brand attracted you, chances it attracted the masses too!

  • Jackosen : Starbucks is still the best choice of all for now. The marketing strategy is successful that it still remain the top coffee chain brand after so many years despite competition from other brands.

  • Zaith : I would say $NESTLE SA (NSRGF.US)$  .
