If you believe that GenAI is real...
The challenge that we have here is that this is a classic example of a product category where the demos are mind bending but the reality is something far less than that, and I think we have seen consistently in use case after use case that the actual performance in the field has real issues and the industry itself is trying to pretend like its not a problem - that the amount of electrical power it requires is greater than the largest states in the country, and that it needs more water than a small country - that the architecture itself appears to be deeply flawed that as you increase the data geometrically the performance of the product only increases in a linear fashion, and that is the exact opposite of what technology is supposed to do.
It is entirely possible that we're going to look back in five years at GenAI and realize that the whole thing was a mistake. The big tech companies $Meta Platforms(META.US$ $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US$ $Amazon(AMZN.US$ have all made a giant bet on this and the bet they're making I think literally could cascade into effectively a bear market because they're so overcommitted to this that in Google's case they've allowed GenAI to really undermined the quality of their search product which is the core of Google business and I think at $Microsoft(MSFT.US$ I have no doubt that they can sell tens of billions of dollars with GenAI but I have great doubt that their customers will get any value from it. And again, I'm not saying here that GenAI is not going to work I'm simply saying that essentially 100% of the market is betting that it is the next big thing and that feels a lot like a maniac to me and the odds of disappointment are very very high.
